YOUR CAR RENTAL PLANNING GUIDE

Complete Guide to Car Rental in Islamabad & Rawalpindi

Start with the journey, then choose the service and car. A family visiting several places in a day needs a different arrangement from someone taking a direct airport transfer. Once the dates, stops and passengers are clear, it is easier to compare prices and prepare for collection. This guide takes you through the main decisions before you send a booking enquiry, and the checks that help the journey finish smoothly.

Plan the service, vehicle and journey before agreeing your quotation.

The short answer: Choose the service, give exact travel details and match the vehicle to passengers and bags. Compare a complete written quote, review the applicable policy and send an email enquiry. Availability and confirmation steps come after the team reviews your request.

Start with the journey you need

Write down the pickup address, destination or stops, dates, passenger count and luggage. Include the return if you need one, and say whether the car should wait or stay with you. An office day with several appointments needs waiting and duty time planned; a direct drop ends at an agreed destination.

For Islamabad car rental or Rawalpindi car rental, give an exact area or address rather than only the city name. Mention multiple pickups, different venues and any overnight stay at the start. These details help the team quote the trip you actually want.

  1. Where and when

Pickup address, travel dates, start time, destinations and return or final drop.

  2. Who and what is travelling

Passengers, large bags, child or elderly traveller needs, and any access requirements you want to discuss.

  3. How you want to travel

Self-Drive or With-Driver, preferred vehicle, stops, waiting and expected duration.

  4. What might change

Possible extra days, uncertain flight timings, additional stops or an overnight journey.

Choose the service before choosing the car

Self-Drive

  • You drive and manage the daily route and parking.
  • Eligibility, documents and vehicle-value security requirements apply.
  • Collection, return and intended travel areas need agreement.

Choose this around your driving preference and eligibility, not just a headline rate.

With-Driver

  • An assigned driver operates the vehicle.
  • Agree pickup, itinerary, waiting and duty hours.
  • Include extra stops and any overnight use in the request.

This can suit visitors, meetings and families who prefer to travel as passengers.

A defined journey

  • Specify airport pickup or departure transfer.
  • For an out-city journey, state one-way, return or retained travel.
  • Northern Areas touring is a separate With-Driver service.

A single drop and a vehicle kept for the day are different scopes to quote.

An event or recurring requirement

  • Wedding requests need venues, timings and vehicle preferences.
  • Corporate requests need allocation, working schedule and billing needs.
  • Hire a Driver is driver-only, for your own or separately arranged car.

Use the relevant service so the form asks for the right details.

See the Self-Drive versus With-Driver comparison if you are deciding between the two rental modes. For specific travel, use airport transfers, Out-City Services, Northern Areas trips, wedding rental, corporate rental or Hire a Driver.

Choose space for people and bags

Count the travellers and bags together. Enough seats does not always mean enough boot space for large suitcases. With a driver, account for the driver’s seat when discussing usable passenger capacity. Ask about the particular vehicle and layout that can be provided, especially for a full group.

A hatchback may suit light local travel; a sedan can suit many family or business journeys. Vans and Coasters can keep larger groups together. Choose an SUV when its space and route suitability meet your needs, rather than assuming it is the right answer for every trip.

Browse the fleet, then check service eligibility, transmission, luggage needs and availability for your dates. A listed model or gallery photograph is a starting point for the enquiry, not a confirmed allocation. For a northern itinerary, discuss the full route and any connecting stops before selecting the vehicle.

Compare the full quote, not only the daily rate

Compare the same vehicle or agreed class, dates, service and itinerary. For a daily booking, set the start and finish time rather than assuming 24 hours. For a week or month, use the published plan for that vehicle and service; ask for the exact period and how extensions or early returns are handled.

Normal With-Driver hire leaves fuel, tolls, parking and other applicable expenses with the customer. Standard listed out-city drop-off fares have different inclusions. Northern Areas touring has a separate expense basis, with fuel and tolls paid separately. Keep these arrangements distinct when comparing a city hire, transfer or multi-day trip.

Use the published rental rates as a reference, then request the final written quotation for your journey. The quote-comparison guide provides a worksheet; the weekly versus monthly guide helps with a longer stay.

Keep these items visible in the quotation before accepting the booking.

Check documents and payment for your service

Read the rental policies for the service you are requesting, including cancellation, extension and responsibility. Self-Drive and With-Driver confirmation are different processes; a corporate contract has its own payment schedule.

Enquiry submission takes no payment. These steps apply after the team has reviewed the request.
ServiceBefore confirmation or handover
Self-DriveComplete the applicable document and security checks. Pay the full agreed initial rent at collection before keys, after verification and paperwork. The vehicle-value security cheque is separate from rent.
Standard With-DriverAfter availability and the final price are confirmed, a 20% online token confirms the reservation. The remaining balance is payable at service start.
Monthly corporateThe first month is paid in advance at vehicle delivery. For a longer contract, following months are paid before each rental month starts. Weekly corporate terms are agreed in the proposal.

Pakistani local Self-Drive customers need the required original CNIC, valid current licence, vehicle-value security cheque and qualifying guarantor. Overseas Pakistani and foreign customers have passport/stay-document, licence and security-cheque requirements. Read the Self-Drive requirements guide and confirm the checks before collection. Do not attach identity-document images or bank details to the general enquiry.

Send an enquiry the team can review

  1. Select the service and dates

Use the central booking form. Add the pickup, travel period and relevant journey details for the selected service.

  2. Describe the people, bags and car

Give passenger and luggage needs, vehicle preferences and stops. Add an unusual schedule or requirement in Special Requirements.

  3. Provide a reachable contact

Use a mobile number the team can contact. If booking for someone else, say who is travelling and who will coordinate pickup.

  4. Review and send by email

Check the summary and submit the enquiry. The form emails the team; it does not take payment or reserve a car automatically.

  5. Agree the quotation and next steps

Review availability, vehicle or class, timing, inclusions and the final price. Complete the applicable verification and confirmation steps under the service terms.

Give the route and timings you already know rather than sending only “one car tomorrow”. A complete brief helps avoid a quotation for a different journey.

Before departure: make the handover useful

For Self-Drive

  • Inspect the vehicle with the representative and record existing condition.
  • Note fuel, mileage, collection time and agreed return.
  • Check the supplied papers, equipment and reporting contact.

Keep the agreement and payment record. Raise an unclear item before leaving.

For With-Driver

  • Confirm pickup contact, itinerary and final drop.
  • Check agreed stops, waiting and the driver’s duty window.
  • For extended or overnight travel, plan driver rest and expenses.

Standard duty is 12 hours unless a package states otherwise; extended arrangements need the published 8–10 hours of rest.

Use the collection and return checklist for a fuller Self-Drive handover. A customer check does not replace a mechanical assessment; report a serious warning or apparent fault before driving.

If plans change, agree the change before continuing

Keep the written quote and confirmation together. Contact the team promptly about a different destination, another day or an expected late return. An extension needs agreement on dates, availability, price and payment timing; a request by itself does not change the booking.

At Self-Drive return, complete a joint condition check and compare fuel and mileage with the collection record. At the end of a With-Driver service, check that the agreed journey is complete. Ask for applicable extra charges to be explained and documented, settle agreed amounts and keep the acknowledgement.

For Self-Drive, documents and security are returned after safe vehicle return and settlement of outstanding charges or liabilities, subject to the agreement. Confirm the release process with the team rather than assuming a fixed deadline.

Car rental questions before you book

What information do I need for a car rental enquiry?

Your service, dates and times, exact pickup, destinations, return or final drop, passengers, bags and preferred vehicle. Include waiting, extra stops or overnight requirements where relevant.

Does submitting the form confirm the booking?

No. It sends an email enquiry for review. Availability, the final quotation and the applicable verification or confirmation steps must be agreed before treating a car as reserved.

Is a daily hire the same as an airport transfer?

No. A transfer is an agreed journey between endpoints. A retained daily rental has a service period, stops and duty arrangements. Compare the quotation for the actual service.

When do I pay for Self-Drive?

Pay the full agreed rent for the initial rental period at collection before keys, after the required checks and paperwork. Security is separate, and renewal payment timing is agreed separately in writing.

When is the With-Driver token due?

For standard With-Driver hire, a 20% online token confirms the reservation after availability and the final price are confirmed. The remaining balance is payable at service start. Corporate arrangements have separate terms.

Are fuel and tolls included?

It depends on the service basis. Normal hire, standard listed out-city drops and Northern Areas touring have different inclusions. Have the quotation identify the applicable fuel, tolls, parking and other expenses.

Can I arrange a Northern Areas trip without a driver?

The Northern Areas touring service is With-Driver only. A separate Self-Drive enquiry needs approval for the vehicle and intended travel areas under that policy.

What if I need to keep the car longer?

Contact the team before the agreed return and request an extension. Availability, the next period, charges and payment timing must be agreed; the original return remains the reference until then.
