With-Driver vs Self-Drive Car Rental in Islamabad
The right rental is the one that fits how you want to travel. Self-Drive gives an eligible customer control of the driving and daily schedule. With-Driver lets you travel as a passenger while an assigned driver handles the road. For Islamabad and Rawalpindi journeys, compare the car, dates, service hours and full cost alongside your comfort with driving. Neither option is automatically better or cheaper.
The short answer: Self-drive is not automatically cheaper. The published Suzuki Alto rate is PKR 5,000/day for self-drive and PKR 4,500/day with a driver. Compare the same vehicle, rental period, route and included expenses. Driver duty, overtime and overnight costs can change the total; request a written quotation for your actual itinerary.
Two ways to travel, with different responsibilities

Check the fleet for the services offered by each vehicle. A model listed on the website is not necessarily available in both modes or for every itinerary.
Is Self-Drive cheaper?
Not automatically. Compare the published hire rate for the same vehicle and rental period, then add the costs relevant to your journey. A With-Driver hire rate already includes the driving service. Confirm any overtime or overnight charges separately as part of the quotation.
The Alto example below uses the published fleet rates. It is a hire comparison, not an all-inclusive airport or out-city quotation. For normal hire, fuel, tolls, parking and other applicable expenses need to be considered separately. Use the rental rates for the actual model and ask for a written total.

Self-Drive: control of the journey starts with preparation
Self-Drive can suit local errands, family visits and business travel when you are comfortable driving in the area. You choose your stops and manage the route, parking and return timing. Start with the car’s actual space and transmission rather than a category label, especially if several people are travelling with large bags.
Prepare the documents for your customer category. Pakistani local customers need an original valid CNIC, a current licence in their own name, a vehicle-value security cheque and a guarantor who is a business owner or a government employee in BPS-16 or above. Overseas Pakistanis and foreign customers have passport, applicable visa/stay documentation, licence and security-cheque requirements. Confirm the checks before collection.
The security cheque is separate from rent. Pay the full agreed initial rental amount at collection, before keys, after the required checks and paperwork. There is no mileage limit under the published Self-Drive policy, but tell the team your intended travel areas and keep to the agreed use and return arrangements.

With-Driver: travel as a passenger, with an agreed schedule
A car with a driver can suit visitors unfamiliar with local roads, people travelling between meetings, wedding journeys or families who prefer someone else to drive. You can use passenger time to prepare for a meeting or simply relax. Tell the team the pickup, stops, waiting and final drop so the service can be planned and quoted.
Standard duty is 12 hours unless a specific package states otherwise. Agree overtime, waiting and any overnight use; extended arrangements also need the published 8–10 hours of driver rest. Customer responsibilities for meals, accommodation and route expenses follow the relevant terms. A daily booking is not continuous 24-hour driver availability.
For standard With-Driver hire, a 20% online token confirms the reservation after availability and the final price are confirmed. The balance is payable at service start. Monthly corporate contracts have separate terms. See the With-Driver service and With-Driver policy for details.
A practical choice for three common journeys
Airport arrival or departure
Compare a defined airport transfer with keeping a car for the rest of the day. With-Driver pickup/drop-off can suit travellers who prefer not to drive after a flight. Self-Drive delivery to Islamabad airport is also offered, subject to eligibility and the agreed vehicle and collection details. Confirm meeting arrangements, bags and the exact endpoint in either case.
Meetings, errands and family stops
With-Driver can suit several appointments without taking on the driving. Self-Drive can suit an eligible customer who wants to manage the day independently. Compare stops, duty hours or return time, parking and fuel on the same basis.
A longer out-city journey
Share the route, stops, return date and any overnight stay before choosing. Separate Self-Drive approval from a vehicle-and-driver itinerary. For With-Driver, agree retained days, duty, rest and driver expenses rather than comparing only a city-hire rate.

Northern Areas trips: keep touring and Self-Drive separate
Huzaifa’s Northern Areas touring service is With-Driver only. It is a vehicle-and-driver road trip from Islamabad or Rawalpindi for an agreed itinerary. Fuel and tolls have their own Northern Areas policy basis and are paid separately; do not carry fuel-inclusive standard out-city drop-off terms over to a mountain tour.
Share destinations, dates, passengers, bags and overnight stops so the team can check vehicle and route suitability. Mountain driving needs planning around the actual road and weather conditions. A particular car or a confident driver does not settle suitability for every road.
If you want to drive yourself, make a separate Self-Drive enquiry with the intended areas. Vehicle eligibility and approval must be confirmed under that policy. It is not a Self-Drive version of the Northern Areas touring package.
Business stays and wedding journeys
For business use, choose around who will travel, how many stops are needed and whether the customer wants to drive. Recurring corporate work also needs working days, reporting/finish times, billing and extended-use terms. Use corporate rental for a contract enquiry or weekly and monthly plans for longer hire.
With-Driver can be useful for weddings when passengers want the vehicle movements arranged around the event. Can I collect a Self-Drive car at Islamabad airport?
Self-Drive delivery to Islamabad airport is offered. Eligibility, the vehicle and delivery/collection arrangements must be confirmed separately from a With-Driver airport transfer.
Can I book a Self-Drive Northern Areas tour?
The Northern Areas touring service is With-Driver only. Any separate Self-Drive request needs approval for the vehicle and intended travel areas under the Self-Drive policy.
Which option suits a wedding?
With-Driver can suit event journeys where passengers prefer someone else to handle the driving. Confirm the vehicle, timings, stops, decoration preference and package in advance.
Where do I send booking details?
Use the website booking form. It emails the team for availability and quotation review. WhatsApp is for general contact; an enquiry alone does not reserve a vehicle.
