WEEKLY & MONTHLY RENTAL GUIDE

Weekly vs Monthly Car Rental in Islamabad

A week-long work visit and a month with family need different rental plans. The right choice starts with how long you expect to keep the car, who will drive and which dates might change. Compare the published weekly and monthly tariff for the same vehicle and service, then ask for a quotation covering your actual dates. A lower headline amount is only useful when the plan fits your stay.

The short answer: Compare weekly and monthly plans for the same vehicle and service using your exact dates. Use published plan rates, then agree running costs, payment, early return and renewal in writing. A longer rental does not automatically extend itself.

Which plan fits your stay?

Start with the period you can commit to now. If your return date is uncertain, say so when enquiring. The team can quote the initial rental and discuss a possible extension separately, rather than treating an open-ended stay as a confirmed booking.

Compare a weekly plan when…

  • Your visit has a short, reasonably firm end date.
  • You need a vehicle for a defined work assignment or family visit.
  • You want to agree the initial period before considering an extension.

Confirm the exact week, return time and any charge for keeping the vehicle longer.

Compare a monthly plan when…

  • You expect to need the vehicle over a longer stay.
  • You have a recurring travel or work schedule to price.
  • You can give the team a clear start date and expected end date.

Confirm the agreed month or date period, payment schedule and early-return terms.

Put collection and return dates first

Write down the collection date, pickup time, return date and return location. Separate confirmed dates from dates that may change. A delayed collection, part-week or early return can affect the agreement, so ask how each would be handled before paying.

Do not assume a monthly plan means exactly thirty days, or that an unused day earns a daily refund. Have the rental period and early-return terms stated in the quotation. If you need a car until a particular flight or meeting finishes, include that timing rather than giving only the name of the month.

Compare the published weekly and monthly rates

Use the tariff for the actual vehicle and the service you want. Self-Drive and With-Driver are separate options with different responsibilities and rates. Where a weekly or monthly figure is published, compare that figure directly instead of multiplying the daily rate by seven or thirty.

These examples come from our current fleet rates. They show vehicle hire for the stated plan, not an all-inclusive itinerary quotation. For the full selection, see the weekly and monthly rental tables or published rental rates.

For a quote-only vehicle or a missing longer-term tariff, request a price for your dates. Do not borrow another model’s rate or assume the vehicle can stay allocated beyond the confirmed period.

What if you need the car for three weeks?

Ask for a quotation for the exact three-week period alongside the monthly option for the same car and service. Compare the total payable amount and what each offer covers. The published table does not by itself establish a part-month price, an automatic discount or a refund for unused days.

The same approach helps when a one-week stay might become a month. Tell the team the likely extension at the start, but keep the original return plan until a new period is agreed. Ask whether changing plans requires a revised agreement, another payment date or a different available vehicle. A later extension does not automatically change the price of time already used.

Match the service to your daily routine

For a family stay, describe how you expect to use the car: local journeys, airport collection, out-city visits and luggage needs. An eligible Self-Drive customer may want control of the daily schedule; a With-Driver booking needs an agreed duty pattern. Check the fleet for the services offered by each model.

For a recurring With-Driver booking, give the working days, reporting and finish times, pickup points, weekend needs and out-city appointments. Standard duty is 12 hours unless a specific package states otherwise. Overnight or extended arrangements also need driver rest; the published policy specifies 8–10 hours. A monthly booking does not mean continuous driver availability.

If the vehicle is for a business, use the corporate rental service to set out the contract, schedule and billing requirements. Working days, overtime, weekends and extended use should be clear in the written proposal. A published monthly retail rate is a reference, not a substitute for that agreement.

Budget for the costs alongside the hire

A longer rental does not automatically include fuel, tolls, parking or overtime. Ask which amounts are part of the agreed rent and which depend on use. With-Driver meal and overnight arrangements also need attention on a recurring schedule; check the applicable With-Driver policy and record what applies to your booking.

For Self-Drive, there is no mileage limit under our published policy, including monthly rentals. You still need to tell the team the areas you intend to visit so the vehicle and journey can be confirmed as suitable. Fuel and other customer expenses remain separate. Read the Self-Drive requirements guide before arranging collection.

Ask how servicing will be scheduled during a longer rental and how to report a fault or breakdown. If you need a replacement arrangement, have its terms agreed in writing. Do not assume a particular replacement vehicle or turnaround time simply because the booking is monthly.

Keep payment terms separate for each service

Confirm the payment arrangement for your service before accepting the quotation. The same word “monthly” can appear on a Self-Drive rental, a standard With-Driver booking or a corporate contract, but those are different agreements.

Payment timing depends on the service. Read the Policies page and your written confirmation for the full terms.
ServicePayment and confirmation
Self-DrivePay the full agreed rent for the initial rental period at collection, before key handover, after the required checks and paperwork. The security cheque is separate from rent.
Standard With-DriverAfter availability and the final price are confirmed, a 20% online token confirms the reservation. The remaining balance is payable at service start.
Monthly corporate rentalPay the first month in advance at vehicle delivery. For a longer contract, pay each following month before that month starts. Weekly corporate payment terms are agreed in the written proposal.

Review the rental policies and your booking or contract terms. For an extension or renewal, agree the next period, price, availability and payment timing separately in writing.

Arrange an extension before the return is due

  1. Tell the team the new dates

Explain how long you want to keep the car, any changed destinations and whether your service or driver schedule will change.

  2. Confirm availability and the revised price

Check whether the same vehicle can continue, which plan applies and how any extra days or changed arrangements will be charged.

  3. Keep written approval and payment terms

Agree the extension and new return time in writing. Until it is accepted, your current return date remains the reference.

The policy distinguishes daily late returns from weekly and monthly extra-day charges. Check the applicable late-return terms rather than assuming that an unapproved extra day is covered by the original price.

Five things to settle before choosing

  1. Exact dates and likely changes

State collection, return, pickup area and any extension you may need.

  2. Vehicle and service

Choose an eligible model and specify Self-Drive or With-Driver. Include passengers and luggage.

  3. The actual plan price

Use published weekly or monthly tariffs where available, then confirm the quotation for your period.

  4. Schedule and running costs

Agree duty hours where relevant and separate fuel, road expenses, overtime and overnight arrangements.

  5. Payment, early return and renewal

Keep these terms with the written confirmation, including how changes and extra days will be handled.

Weekly and monthly rental questions

Is weekly or monthly car rental better for me?

Compare both plans against your actual dates, service and likely changes. A short fixed visit may suit a weekly plan; a longer stay may suit monthly. Ask for a quotation for the exact period rather than choosing by the plan name alone.

Can I calculate a month by multiplying the daily price?

Use the explicitly published weekly or monthly rate for that vehicle and service. Confirm the agreed date period; do not assume a month always means thirty rental days.

Do monthly Self-Drive rentals have a mileage limit?

No. The Self-Drive policy has no mileage limit, including monthly rentals. Tell the team your intended travel areas and agree the rental period, return arrangements and applicable charges.

Are fuel and tolls included in a longer rental?

A weekly or monthly hire price does not automatically include fuel, tolls, parking or overtime. Confirm the full scope and separate expenses for your service in writing.

Can a weekly booking become a monthly booking?

Request the new period before the agreed return. Availability, the applicable rate, revised agreement and payment timing must be confirmed; the monthly rate does not automatically apply retrospectively.

Will I receive a refund if I return early?

Do not assume a daily or pro-rata refund. Have the early-return and unused-day terms agreed before accepting the rental.

Does a monthly With-Driver plan include weekends?

Specify the days and hours you need, including weekends, in the quotation request. Standard duty is 12 hours unless a package states otherwise; the agreed schedule and extended-use terms govern the booking.

When is payment due?

Self-Drive rent for the initial period is paid in full at collection before keys. Standard With-Driver uses a 20% token after availability and price confirmation, with the balance at service start. Monthly corporate contracts have separate advance-payment terms.

How do I request a weekly or monthly quote?

Use the website booking form with your service, plan, dates, pickup area, preferred vehicle and travel requirements. It emails our team for availability and quotation review.

Ask for a plan built around your dates

If your stay is uncertain, give the team the firm dates and the possible extension. We can review the request on that basis. Send your requirements through the booking form, which emails the team, and wait for availability and the final terms to be confirmed before treating the car as reserved.
